# Driver settlements with a reviewable trail

RunaboutX's settlement workflow example brings load facts, approved adjustments, and driver pay review into the same operational sequence. The public site does not claim payroll processing, payment rails, or a named accounting integration.

## The handoff

After delivery, a settlement reviewer needs to know which driver and load are involved, what pay rule applies, which extras were approved, and whether any deductions need support. A useful workflow keeps changes traceable and lets a person sign off before pay data leaves the operation.

For example, if a driver reports detention, the dispatcher can attach the event and supporting document. The reviewer then decides whether the amount is payable under the carrier's policy. The [driver settlement workflow guide](/resources/learn/driver-settlement-workflow/) includes a reconciliation checklist.

## Check the boundary

Ask how your pay rules, contractor arrangements, and existing payroll or accounting system would connect. Confirm the available settlement steps for your operation. See [AI Billing](/features/ai-billing/) for the customer-facing financial handoff and [book a demo](/#contact) for your workflow.
